"Albert Contemporary is pleased to present Kasper Jacek's solo exhibition 'sometimes my eyes change their mind'. Jacek's works explore fleeting moments when you lose the ability to see clearly: a moment when the perception of the world is blurred or challenged. 'Sometimes my eyes change meaning' refers to a phrase Jacek's daughter used when she talked about how she sometimes thinks things change color in an instant. It is these moments that Jacek's works explore: moments when sight is not a tool we fully master, but something that sees visions, something that is exposed to and overwhelmed by the world – and in the process opens up new ways of seeing. The visual disturbance is one of the basic metaphors in the exhibition's works and is understood as a kind of opening of the world, where we see things differently." (March 9th – April 5th, 2024)
